Holy Trinity relies entirely upon the generosity of its members to continue sharing the good news about Jesus with the people of Devonport and beyond. It costs nearly $300,000 a year to keep the church running and we are grateful to all those who partner with us financially in this ministry. The very best (and most tax efficient) way to help us plan and budget is to set up an Automatic Payment (AP). Go online or use your banking app to set up an AP. Our parish recorder can provide you with a unique giving number so that you can reclaim the tax on any donation.
Having experienced the generosity of God through Jesus, Christians are those who are marked by generosity. There may be a few things to consider as we reflect upon our financial commitment to church:
- Those who plan to give tend to give more generously (1 Corinthians 16:2).
- Those who give first and then live on what is left over tend to give more generously.
- If we feel very precious about our money, or we are easily offended by talk about giving our money away this could indicate that our heart is captivated by money. At this point God is much more interested in the attitude of our heart than he is about how much we give.
